This is a make up and cosmetics studio, established in 2020. This business was suppose to be a side hustle for me alongside my main profession as a Photographer. Couple with the fact that make up business complements by photography job, there are usually demands on it too, as most times when I am out to cover events especially weddings, imperfections of make up and gele on some of the brides affect the output of the pictures in most cases.

Then, I thought if I could learn this too, it would add credibility to my profession. So, I got the training; still under training though cause it is a continuous exercise (smiles) and here we are, God has been helping.

👉How much capital did you use to set up this business?

Well! To set up a make up business requires a whole lot and may not be fully established at once because new brands of quality cosmetics are introduced to the market everyday and every make up artist would want to meet up with that. So, the business is an everyday establishment. As I said earlier, we are still growing.

👉Did you share the capital with another person, or it’s sole proprietorship?

To the glory of God, ÌMÒ Beauty Palace is a 1-man's business.

👉How have you been able to cope with the constant power outage in this location?

God bless Nigeria! But  then, it is no longer a news that our power supply can be frustrating so every entrepreneur would prepare for whatever comes.

👉What other challenges do you face?

Yea! Another challenge is  that most times we get double bookings for the two businesses and can be short of workers at times.

👉How satisfied are you with the sales traffic?

Ah! (laughs) satisfied keh? Money no dey reach  o. Of course, we crave for more.

👉How do you procure your products?

We purchase some of our products from online international markets, trade fair and some others like that.

👉How much is the estimated sales per month?

It depends on how many clients we are able to work for in a month.

👉Where did you see your self in the next 5 years ?

I see myself owning and directing one of the best studios in Lagos which will be the talk of the town.

👉How did you intend to support the Nigeria economy and the society?

By paying my tax of course. Moreso, I love and appreciate vocational skills and being self employed. So, I hope to introduce an empowerment programme for the youth, to equip them and make them independent. That way, poverty will be limited in our nation.
