I ventured into food business because it’s my passion and it really makes me happy to apply my knowledge as an up coming food technologist to cooking and saving people’s lives through food.
1: How much capital did you use to set up your business.
I am (Ajino God’stime Nkere, NK’s kitchen) from (Cross River State ), I'm an online food vendor. I started this business with #80000 in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic nationwide lock down that lasted for over two months.
Starting a business is not easy most especially when one doesn’t have financial assistance. At first the journey was really tough, from trying to create awareness, to finding and knowing my customer, to arresting their attention and pushing them to take action.
2:Did you share the capital with another person, or it’s sole proprietorship?
Sole proprietorship,Sometimes I have to make the delivery myself at odd hours even when raining just to keep to time.
3: What other challenges did you face?
some other challenge like poor road networks and traffic and also unreliable dispatch drivers.
4:How have you been able to cope with constant power outage in this location?
The power supply in my location is nothing to write home about even though we have generator as an alternative power supply, one still have to spend much time and money in maintaining and fueling of the generator. Aside for this, I have no challenge with my location because all my cooking activities are done in my house, where I'm comfortable with no distraction.
5:How satisfied are you with the sales traffic?
However, the sale traffic is not suitable due to the poor economy. There's actually poor sales for now which is caused my many factors.
To maintain good sale and attract more customers, I procure my product with transparent takeaway food packages which has a customized stickers on it.
6:How much is the estimated sales per month?
The business monthly sales is estimated at #90,000 to #60,000 based on the strength of the month's sales.
7:Where did you see yourself in the next 5years?
Hmmm , I have the believe that the business will not only be an online business but also a face-to-face business as I am planning on open a branch in the next weeks, which will most definitely produce more branches, not just in the city alone but across the country.
8:How did you intend to support the Nigeria economy and the society?
I also intend to support the country's economy through sale of intercontinental dishes that will enable us make tourists feel at home when ever the visit Nigeria 🇳🇬
