MY BUSINESS GROWTH
SlaywithMelanin was established 26th of January,2021 by Awoyo Gloria Monisola,I started from making Ruffles tops and selling online to my friends from then I had passion for buying and selling things which makes me to go further into selling of things Like Bags,Sneakers,Heels,Slide and more
My zeal for this business has made me understand the importance of learning more and practicing what you do often.
Bags,Sneakers,Heels,Slide are fashion items that contribute more to our look and makes us more beautiful
The inspiration of this business came from Simisola a Nigeria singer who posted on her instagram story some years back about going into a business she said “There’s no business you’ll do that you won’t find thousands of people doing it before you, So you need to do what you find yourself doing happily” from there I got the encouragement I was looking for to start my own business and this has really helped me
Good News is that! We’ll be starting Our Ember day Sales from 10th of November to 2nd of December 2022.There will be discount 20% discounts on all packages above 20,000 and above.
How much capital did you use to set up this business? Haven’t really set up the business yet just having a online store for now which i am currently doing it online
Did you share the capital with another person, or it’s sole proprietorship? Actually I happen to start the business all alone with a very little capital so i will say its Sole proprietorship
How have you been able to cope with the constant power outage in this location? As it is we understand the country is currently experiencing a very poor power outage and it is very sad that aside us paying our light charges we still have to a power suppling machine in other to use a regular power service
What other challenges do you face? The stress of going to the market to get clothes and other items that have been ordered and also the stress of wanting to satisfy your clients in getting what they want exactly in size colour or choice .
How satisfied are you with the sales traffic? To some extent i will say i am satisfied cause i am able to earn a living from the little i make but you know human want are unlimited
How do you procure your products? I buy from people selling wholesale and resell
How much is the estimated sales per month? The estimate per month varies but i can say doing festive periods we tend to make more money than the normal periods of the year
What do you think is the future of the business? Apparently I suppose the future of my business is bright cause where i am currently I didn’t see myself here in the past few years and if i can start with that very low capital and come this far then in the next few years i believe i will do better .
