Over the years, Entrepreneurship in Nigeria gained a wide spread, while the highest Online start ups were recorded during the pandemic, Majorly because it required no capital.
Dhufa Marey, CEO, Clothing Curves, an online clothing store, which was established in 2020, shares the ups and downs of an Online business.
1. How much capital do you use to set up this business?
_ It required little capital, as my only expenses were for data subscriptions and transportation fare to the market
2. Did you share your capital with another person, or it’s a sole proprietorship?.
_ It's Sole Proprietorship.
3. How have you been able to cope with the constant power outstage in this location?.
_ Since my business is in my phone, I require very little power supply, Although I acquired a power bank as a life support system
4. What other challenges do you face?.
_ Amongst the challenges I faced and still face are dubious sizes, logistic etc
5. How satisfied are you with the sales traffic?.
_ It's a bit fair until recently when the dollar rates skyrocketed
6. How do you procure your products?.
_ I acquire products international from China, Turkey, and other countries
7. How much is your estimate sales per month?.
_ It started out as 35,000 monthly but has currently reduced
8. Where do you see yourself in the next 5years?.
_ I see Clothing Curves as a Nationwide Brand with physical outlets in all states
9. How do you intend to support Nigeria economy and the society?.
_ By teaching other young unemployed graduates other legitimate means of making a living
