Ijoko Business Group to celebrate one year anniversary

All hands are on deck as a association of thriving entrepreneurs networks in different sectors across the ijoko Town, Ijoko Business Group, are set to celebrate a year anniversary of impact and progress next month, November 2022,

The anniversary is aimed at celebrating the action which has brought business owners rendering diverse services together for the purpose of connection, accessibility, visibility and other benefits.

The anniversary, themed ‘ONE YEAR AND COUNTING’, will feature series of activities ranging from health walk, business lecture, exhibition, networking, promotional gifts, business category recognitions, games among others.

Ibitoye Ayomide, the lead coordinator of the ijoko Business Group reveal that the network has been successful in improving business growth within the past 12 month.

He said: “It’s been eventful and worthwhile over the months. We have managed to reach and promote 60+ business owners in ijoko and look forward to seeing more of them.

The fruit of this vision has been mind blowing , with increase in sales, collaborations and friendships.

We plan opening a physical office in ijoko through which we can increase overall brand awareness and visibility. Before the next anniversary, we want to have about 150 business owners who can collaborate with us locally and also enable us gain international collaborations in order to expand the tentacles of the community.”

The business owners are not limited to fashion, baking, beauty, media management, photography, event management, logistics, importation among other industries.

NIGERIAN CURRENCY REDESIGNED

  Published by Arikawe Aminat  The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has announced that the bank would release re-designed Naira notes by December 15, 2022. He also said that existing notes would seize to be regarded as legal tender by January 31, 2023. Emefiele disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday. The CBN said that it is worrisome that 85 per cent of the currency in circulation is being hoarded by Nigerians. He further urged Nigerians to proceed to their banks to deposit their Naira notes, adding that the deposit fee would be waived for transactions below N150,000. Emefiele added that the redesigning of Naira notes would help to curb counterfeit notes, as well as hamper ramson payment to terrorists and kidnappers.
