CEEHAY BUSINESS PROFILE
CEEHAY CREATIVITY

We specialize in gift items, artwork and interior designs.
We are located at 13 Sangobiyi street Aye Bus, Isolo Lagos. However, we are more of an online store, as a way to be more cost efficient and mobile.
Majorly, we aim at being the biggest one stop store for beautiful and affordable gift items in Lagos. So to do this, we made our items of peak quality and cost effective, ensuring affordability to our clients. The dream however, is to have at least an item in every house in Lagos. Have we reached there? Of course not. But we believe in consistency and expansion, so we would.
The whole idea of this business started around my final year in school. Prior to this time , I was just an artist drawing portraits for people. Was all like an hobby thing. So, being in a student environment, our customers are mostly students who could not afford to pay enough for the artworks. For me, I was still doing the artworks, to build myself and also attract them as new clients although it was too time consuming and less rewarding. So pricing wasn’t the deal breaker for me. Things went on and on, at a point, fees in school became more serious, I knew I could not continue like that anyways, so I started looking inward for what I could do. So I added photo frames. Photo frames has no stress at all, and was equally rewarding to the artworks. So I gave it more attention.
Furthermore, my more expanded customers started asking me for more items ,So I started getting deeper. The more they ask, the farther I go. Till I found out it is a wide market I could actually tap into.
My inspiration majorly was my creativity and love for art and beauty. So making beautiful decors is not an hard thing for me to do. So that made the work kind of easier for me.
Sales has always increased over the years. Despite the odds , sales keep coming. Demands from different states across the country has even cause us to expand outside Lagos. We have branches in Ogun state, Oyo State, and Osun state. And every branch managing sales effectively. All thanks to my ever supporting team.
Talking about challenges.
We do encounter customer management,People interaction is such an amazing feature of business that I personally feel so interested in and personalize about. Another major challenges is logistics and cost. Especially inter state deliveries. This can be so stressful Considering the safety and cost of items being sent.
In conclusion, it’s such a wonderful experience owning a developing business in Nigeria. So many obstacles and successes, which are being faced in order to make the business better. This has pushed me further to a whole lots of discoveries about business, sales, marketing and many more. There’s all reason to push forward, and that’s what I always try my best to do. So far so good.
◦ How much capital did you use to set up this business?
Zero capital, just my phone to create awareness. That’s all.
◦ How have you been able to cope with the constant power outage in this location?
It’s been tough, but we burn fuel to support. This has caused extra expenses though.
◦ What other challenges do you face?
Inflation in cost of production.
◦ How satisfied are you with the sales traffic?
Currently it’s unsatisfactory. Cause economy generally isn’t friendly. Increased cost of production caused increased price, increased price give clients second thoughts to patronize
◦ How do you procure your products?
From different vendors that specialize in them. Then we coin everything together
◦ How much is the estimated sales per month?
Normally around 70,000- 100,000 Naira. But with this last few months, it’s been below 50,000 Naira.
◦ Where did you see your self in the next 5 years ?
Expansion is the goal. Expansion! Expansion!! Expansion!!!
◦ How did is you intend to support the Nigeria economy and the society ?
Currently we have couple staffs working with us, this has created a side hustle for them too and a passive source of income so to speak. As they don’t have to be always present. And as far as society is concerned, we aim at making outreach to Motherless babies home, at least once a year.
